7 YEARS

I know I am always saying this, but I am just amazed at how fast time goes by and the last 7 years have flown by.

7 years ago Trever and I said "I DO." Looking back on that day, for me it was odd, it seemed like an out of body experience, like I was kinda of watching it, just going through the motions. I always thought I would cry during the ceremony and I didn't. I have had plenty of emotional days to make up for it! ;) From what I was told, people really enjoyed the ceremony, which is very nice to here.

Someone once told me that if you make it through the 1st 7 years of marriage you can make it through anything. I don't know if that is true, but I do know that we have been through some things that I would never wish a couple to go through in these last 7 years. We have also been through some things, that of course I wish couples would have to go through.

I am so very happy and blessed with Trever and our boys. I am looking forward to many more years with this wonderful family I have.

Pretty fun to see how we have all changed and grown. Gemma, Kai, Carson and Gabe are now in the Coster family. Elijah and Zach in Gina's family. Jodie is preggers right now with twin girls! Of course there are many more changes I could mention with other kiddlings, but I think I will leave it at that.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our last 7 years! And cheers to many more to come!

Wipes, Bible, and Sleep

For a month or so we had to use 2 other brands of wipes besides the Kirkland brand from Costco. Never in my life, did I think I would be so excited to get the Kirkland wipes back into this house!

"So we praise God for the wonderful kindness he has poured out on us because we belong to his dearly loved Son. He is so rich in kindness that he purchased our freedom through the blood of his Son, and our sins are forgiven. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding." Ephesians 1:6-8

Saturday mornings I usually ride my bike to the store for a couple of things. Since we have been fairly busy these last couple of weeks all I could think of doing last night for this morning was some shut eye. So I slept in until 7:30! Not soundly for some of it, but still it beats the 5:30 or 6:30 that I usually do everyday of the week. But because of that I will be doing the ride tomorrow morning.

Some of the museums in Jacksonville are going to be closing in a couple of weeks, so Trever wanted to go see them. We took Carson to the children's museum which he enjoyed. I will post pictures tomorrow probably. We didn't get to all the properties we wanted because we were getting into nap time. Most of the museums don't open until 11 or 12. That makes it hard if you don't get there at 11am and nap time is supposed to be at 1:45.

Cutie-pa-Tooties

Carson brought his rocking chair out of his room and Gabe and I were rocking in it, which he didn't like. He said he wanted to rock, so we all did and Trev took some pics of it. :)

Thanks Gramma for these "12 month" jammies. They are nice and snug at 5 months! ;)

I couldn't decide which picture I liked best, so I thought I would add more than 1. Hee, hee.

Gabe is Growing!

Gabe is already 5 months young today. I know everyone knows this, but it continues to amaze me at how fast time really does go by.

I need to remind myself to cherish the everyday activities because over the next couple of months and years things will change and I won't have this day again (only in my memories). Things don't ever stay the same. We grow, our kids grow, and as much as I would like time to stand still it won't.

5 months. Wow. Seems like I just found out I was preggers!

Getting Dressed

This is how Carson came out of his room this morning. Who do you think got him dressed? Please note: Shorts are on backwards and shirt is uneven.

Myself? Trever? OR Carson?

Busy Days

On Wednesday my mom, myself, Carson and Gabe went up to Lake of the Woods again with part of the Cox family. We had a great time! Carson played with Carly's little floaty the WHOLE time. She was so great to share with him. Here are some pictures of the little day trip.

A friend of Trever's, Greg, from college is visiting his parents in Merlin and invited us up to eat lunch and have some pool time. Another one of their friends, Selena, also from college, was able to come too. We had a great time and are so happy we were able to see all of them, even if it was just for a couple of hours. Here are some pictures of that time.

I have been watching Gabe's little friend, James, who is 5 days older than Gabe a couple of days for the last couple weeks. James' dad who is usually home with him is a fishing guide, and he has been on the river so they have needed some extra help.

Besides the regular house duties, that is about all we have been doing. Oh, we went to our friend, Zach's, 1st birthday party on Sunday night. That was very nice being able to celebrate with them. We also got to meet his brand new cousin, Isaac. Which of course was so fun! He is so cute and tiny. Amazing how in just 4 short months babies grow SO much!!!

GG on the airplane

We are eating lunch right now and Carson was talking about how GG went on an airplane last night. Most things are "last night" with Carson right now. He says he went pee last night (so that means you don't have to go during the day-FYI), Gina and David were over last night, we went to the fair last night...I think ya get the idea.

So, he was saying how GG went on the plane last night. And I said she went on a plane a couple of months ago to help cousin Christian. I said we need to pray for him. So, Carson said: "Jesus, pray for cousin Christian that he won't have owies and have Jesus in his heart. Pray for cousin Christian that he won't have owies and have Jesus in his heart." He repeated it a couple more times and added a couple of more words here and there, but I think you get the idea. :)

Just wanted to share how GG on a plane leads to praying!

And we had fun, fun, fun!

Posted by Picasa

We did it! We went to the Yreka Fair and had a great time! We ate LOTS of food and saw lots of great things. Animals, CHIP car, fire trucks, tractors, Smokey the Bear, and the train. There are more pictures here if you would like to see them.

It was a wonderfully shaded fair! You should really think about going next year. It is only about 45 minutes away, clean (there were teenagers picking up garbage the whole time we were there), SO shaded, small and fun! They also have lots of bathrooms around that are clean, have soap and paper towels, and hand washing stations around all the animals. There is also a breast feeding station. There is a shaded tent and 4 tarps for walls for privacy. There is a clean changing table (which we used-the gal said she cleans it after every use and puts down a new towel thing), chairs to sit and feed babies, a boppy and a hand washing station. I'm telling ya, this fair has it all!

Naps were all off today because of the big outing, but we had a blast. Carson and Gabe were both wonderful! 2 real cutie-patooties if you ask me. ;)

Aloha!

Dinner

Last night we were able to go to some new friends house for dinner. We had a great time with them, their 4 month old son, James, and dog, Hank (who could be a Caucasian Mello, pictured below).

Here is a picture of Gabe once we got home. He was a tiny bit pooped. :)

Dopey and Happy

And I am not talking about the 7 dwarf's. I am talking about baby Gabe. He usually has 2 looks.

Dopey face seen here.

Happy face seen here.

Big cuz Gemma was over last week and asked me why he does this :) (picture her smiling) :| (picture her frowning doing the dopey face). It was so funny! It cracked me up! Trever thought it was funny too. We love our dopey, happy face guy! :)

Day Trip

Yesterday morning, my mom, myself, Carson and Gabe took a little trip up to Lake of the Woods. It was so nice to get out and have some water time. Carson and Gabe did wonderful! Gabe slept all the way up there, took a little cat nap up there and slept all the way home. Carson joined him in the sleeping on the way home. :) Sleepy boys.

Once we got there, I realized I needed to bring some type of sun/ water clothing for myself. I packed MORE THAN enough for Carson (in case of an accident) and for Gabe (in case of a blow out) and left myself out. My mom let me borrow some shorts she had brought since all I had was jean capri's. While we were up there she said, "You need to get out more often. You don't even remember what to bring to the water." :) She is right. I am such a homebody. I love to be home. Can't help it. I do need to work on it though, cause Trever loves doing day trips with us since he is working all the time. We need to take advantage of the summer and the lakes we have around us!

FBers, if you can't see the pictures above, click here.

This is a little video of Gabe, 8.4.09, rolling over in his crib. I put him down on his belly and sometimes during the nap he rolls over which wakes him up. So, I try to roll him back over, but sometimes it doesn't work. See below. :)

Really?

Here are some more pictures from July. I am just amazed that it is already August! Wow. How time DOES fly.

My firend, Deborah, was telling me that when her daughter spends the night somewhere she "pays" for it for 2 days. I now know what she was talking about. :) Carson has been pretty emotional since he has been home after staying the night at Gramma's house. I know it was different and new, plus the bee sting (which we found out he isn't allergic too, Praise the Lord!), has added to the difference in his attitude. Pretty interesting the changes they go through. I also remember my SIL telling me that when her kids were around their grandparents it would take them a little time to readjust their attitudes also. All these new experiences we are going through that I have heard about from family and friends is kind of funny.

Carson is in for another treat tonight. Mimi has been gone for over a week and she invited him over to spend time there for a little while this evening. That means Trever and I get to load up and organize our extra fridge in the garage that we just got last week (for free, YEAH!) So exciting. That means we also get to make ice cubes which we haven't had this year because we don't have room in the freezer in the house. The things that make me so excited! :)

Don't know about you, but last night we had some thunder storms. Along with the storms came some hail. Yeah, it was oh, about 95* outside and we had hail! What is all that about? Here are a couple pix of that. In the top pix look for white stuff in the grass. The bottom one is better, pretty obvious piece of hail.

On a side note, I have been "trying" to run a little more lately. Last week I ran for 40 minutes without walking. I was pretty surprised and hope to keep it up and increase the length of time in the future.

And thank you Bethany, for helping me figure out the "comments" section on my blog. :)

Oh, and Crystal had her baby! YEAH! Nehemiah was born at 10:20pm on 7.29.09. 1 week late! WOW! Congrats to the Frechette family!

Aloha.

FIRST TIME

We got to eat our first ripe tomatoes on Tuesday! So fun to enjoy the garden.

There have been a couple different things go on this week that were new and different. One, was that I had 2 girlfriends over, Gina and Jodie, on 7.28. The 3 of us haven't gotten together for a very long time. Jodie is expecting twin girls, due this December! So exciting for her and Matt (her hubby)!

The next big activity was Carson spending his first night away from home, last night. He went and stayed the night with Gramma. He did a great job! It was very different at home with just us 3. A lot quieter around here without the pitter-patter of his little feetsies running around.

Here he is with his "new" backpack on that almost pulled him backwards it was so heavy for him. He was determined to wear it though. :)

Right before we went and got him, he had gotten stung by a bee. First time in his life. He had a swollen red bump, but by the time we got home the redness was gone and he wasn't mentioning it. He also cried and was saying he didn't want to leave. That is good sign, huh? :) We are so thankful to Gramma for taking him. Glad everyone had a great time. We will definitely be doing that again. A good habit to get into. We are so blessed that we have family around so we have that option.

Here is Gabe looking behind him at the picture on his buzzer chair. 8.1.09.

Happy August everyone!
Aloha.
