11 MONTHS!!!

So, Gabe is 11 months now! WOW! Amazed he joined us almost 1 year ago! According to our scale at home, he weighs about 23 pounds. He will be professionally weighed next month.

Last night, Papa and Carson had just walked out the door to go to AWANA and Gabe took a couple of steps to me from the couch! Couldn't believe it! We ran out and told Pop and Carson since they were still getting in the car. So exciting when our little ones do new big things!

My sister and her family left Wednesday last week. They arrived safely and are enjoying their time. You can follow their trip if you would like by clicking here.

Did you know?

My mom said that she heard on KDOVE radio that for every reprimand a children gets need 5 encouragements! WOW!

I hadn't heard that before and am going to try really hard to "even" them out. Might take some getting used to, but I will try.

DATE

Yesterday, Carson and I went on a date. I packed a lunch, we stopped and got a chicken and rice bento and then headed to the Railroad Park. We ate, played and ate some more. It was the first time that he and I had gone to the park for a date since Gabe has joined us. He has gone with Trever before, but not me.

After taking many pictures on my camera and getting a 'no pictures' message and then a 'memory card error' I moved onto my phone for the pictures. I had to document our alone time somehow!?

Carson was very well behaved after we got home from our date. I think that special time was good for both of us. Then this morning he ran out from the hall and into the kitchen to give me a hug and then started to make kissing sounds...my little guy wanted to give his mama a kiss. Melt my heart!

I am so thankful for my 2 special little guys that Trever and I are so blessed to have!

A Clean House

This morning I started picking up papers and stuff around the house. I got a little too carried away and ended up vacuuming everywhere. Under the couch (don't forget I had to get all those missing toys out from under there), the entry where all of our shoes get piled up, the hallway, our room, the boys room, the kitchen - everywhere! During all of this I had to get Carson bathed, dressed, and ready for Gramma to come get him and keep Gabe happy and off of me, so I could keep getting things done. While Carson was eating his breakfast I finished up with the vacuuming and then picked up all those little toys. Boy oh boy! There is proof that my house can be clean, especially when Carson is gone to keep those toys where I left them! :)

Last night I stayed up too late folding clothes and watching "Undercover Boss" so while Gabe took his morning nap, I rested.

Now it is time for lunch! Loving this sunshiny day!

It's a LOVE day

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Trever and I didn't say we were or weren't going to exchange gifts this year. But, I was surprised with a bouquet of tulips and a new fancy water bottle. :) It's such a nice feeling to be given something by a loved one.

Gabe and I are a part of this moms group that had a get together yesterday. Jenifer, the fabulous hostess, had a Valentine craft for us to make for our husbands. It was so great. Paint for the foot prints, card stock, pre-cut heart shapes, glue...you name it, she had it! It was so nice! Oh, and she took our pictures and then printed them out so we could use them in the craft! Is she on top of things or what?

Watch Batteries

If your watches are anything like mine they die more often than welcomed. 2 out of 3 mine needed new batteries and I didn't want to fork over $5 for 1 battery from Bi-Mart. So I turned to my never failing, good deals, eBay. I saved some auctions in my eBay to have for options.

Trever had suggested we try the Dollar Tree. The Ashland store has a choice of 3 different watch like batteries. Didn't know if they had #377 that I needed for all 3 of my watches, so we had to check that out first. Actually my mom and Carson checked it out for me. They went on a walk yesterday morning and then to the store, so I asked if they could stop by there and see if they had the right size.

And they did!!! You get 8 batteries for $1. They might not last all that long (the one we purchased last time from Bi-Mart didn't last long enough in my opinion), but you get 8 of them! Can't beat the price! $1 for 8 batteries, or $5 for 1 battery. The choice is up to you!

What do you wear?

I know some of you have to wear work attire 5 days a week, so on your days off do you wear lounge clothing? People who work at home, is everyday the same for clothing?

So, I am curious about what you wear at home when you aren't going anywhere and no one will be coming over?

A: Jammies.
B: Exercise clothes.
C: Always dressed.
D: Dressed until about 3pm, then jammie time.
