OK. Carson has been a great sleeper during naps and night time...until last week...
I was at a friends house last week and she said, "So, Carson turned 4 in December and he is still taking daily multi-hour naps?"
He was until about that day. :) Since then he hasn't been into it too much. I have loved my down time while the boys nap. For a while now we have been having to exercise Carson (ya know, like Cesar Millan says to exercise your dog) during the mornings. A walk to the Ashland Library, the Post Office, park, or we go ice skating. At any rate, I have put pressure on myself and the boys to make sure we plan to get that done. Since he hasn't been napping on a regular basis these last couple of days, I have been trying to let it (the regular program of morning exercising and afternoon napping) go and not be so set in my past ways of Carson taking a nap.
Yesterday we walked to the Library and I heard "I'm tired" almost the whole way there and back. I thought he would have napped, but he didn't?! So, we put him to bed earlier than normal last night, about 7:15 or 7:30.
This is my question to you! Should he sleep longer in the morning without taking a nap??? Ya, not so much! He was up at 5:15am this morning!!!
Maybe it will take a little time for him to get into the normal program of not napping, going to bed earlier, and sleeping in longer in the morning. I don't know? I haven't done this age before, so I gotta learn too.
Any tips would be appreciated!
Aloha.

KereJo, bed at 11-12pm, up at 5-6am, no naps. Poor Illis.
I've got mostly 4 years olds at daycare now and none of them nap during the day. One of my guys stays until after bed time and he goes to bed at 7:30-8:00 and seems really rested (don't know what time he wakes up - probably early!) They all get tired by 4:00 (even the 7 year old is tired), but they all power thru until bedtime.
