Weigh in

Baby Gabriel Jason Coster: weight 7.11 pounds. length 20 inches.

Baby Gabe was born March 25th @ 8:54 pm. At 5 pm my water was broken. At 8pm I was a 6 and got into the birthing tub (wasn't planning on delivering in it - but did!) and 54 minutes later we had our little baby Gabe here with us!

Note: Be careful what you ask for. These last months I have been praying and believing for a fast, smooth delivery. And I GOT FAST. Along with the fast comes more intense pain.

We are all doing great. Baby Gabe is a great eater and sleeper. Hasn't cried much, only when he got a little shot last night.

Sweet words

On Monday I made some banana pudding. Trever likes to come up with nicknames for things and started calling it puddie puddie. After we ate dinner and had some for dessert, Trev reminded Carson to say thanks for the puddie puddie. So, he said "thanks for the puddie puddie Mama, I appeciate it." It was the cutest little thing coming from his mouth with his little voice. So sweet.

This Morning

This was taken this morning. 40 weeks and 2 days, with my little sweet pea - Carson. The doctor appointment went well. I have been given instructions to try and get him here by Friday to avoid having to have an ultrasound to make sure there is enough fluid around him. So, we shall see! And she said she was off by the original due date and the ultrasound I had would be MAYBE 2 days off, not a week or more. I will keep you posted...

I forgot!?

Today a friend reminded me that my doctor originally calculated the due date to be March 30th. The first ultrasound said March 21st. We have been going along with that due date, which was 9 days earlier than the 1st gestimate. So, with that said, I plan to ask her about it tomorrow at my appointment. Once I was reminded of that tiny bit of info, I felt much better and felt peaceful, which is always a nice feeling. So really, when baby wants to come, he will - like I have known already, but feel better about. So, thank you Gina! Yeah for friends who help you remember things!

Hard times sometimes

Right now I am sitting next to a very strong willed 2 yr old who refused to eat his dinner last night and is still refusing to eat it right now. Why is it REALLY that hard to take a couple of bites of food so you could have something you want. Battles. Boy oh boy.

As many of you know, yesterday was the 21st, and I am still home and NOT at the hospital. I know there is only about a 5% rate of babies who actually COME on their due dates, and mine is not one of them. That is fine with me, cause I know when he is ready he will come. However, I am praying that I will REALLY be OK with that and have peace to know that he needs to come when he will come. Maybe since Carson was 2 days early, Gabe will be 2 days late. Who knows?! I can keep guessing all I want and it won't change anything. So, that is where we are right now. Sitting at the table, with a very big belly, and Carson not eating his food. :) All good times, right?!

Granola

This morning I started a batch of crock pot granola for my mom and Gramma. It is so easy, and VERY yummy. You can check it out here. Towards the bottom of the page, it is titled Tam's Granola.

Lazy morning

This morning we stayed home from church cause we are all kinda feeling like we are fighting something. Carson has been fighting it for the last couple days. The TV got turned on and we found some kid TV shows. Boy, was that an attention getter. We don't ever watch cartoons, or kid shows, so nothing was missed, as you can tell by the look on Carson's face. :)

I am 6 days away from the "due date." Baby Gabe is growing A LOT and making it hard to sleep at night with normal pains and heartburn. I have no idea when he will be making his entrance, but I am looking forward to being able to move around better. The sleepless nights I am not so looking forward to. Guess it is all part of mamahood though, huh? Gotta get this next one to sleep through the night like his big bro does.

Here are some pictures from Kai and Trever's shared bday party dinner at Mimi and Grandpa's house. We had great food and yummy yummy dessert. 2 kinds. Uncle Cam had salad for dessert, even though his favorite dessert - lemon meringue pie - was served. No sugar for him right now. He has major self control! Something I don't think I could have done in that situation.

Guess that is about it for right now. We are just kinda waiting around for baby Gabe. Not much else going on. Until next time! ALOHA!

Something older, but oh so cute!

This was on 11.28. He has his own little moves.
