Grandma got a deal!!!

On Sunday I was talking to my mom while she was at Goodwill. She asked me (because it is a noise maker) if she could get the boys one of those table toy things that are usually in church nursery's. She said it was $2 (I think, might have been $3) and she would keep it at her house.

This morning the boys got their first time to play with it. They both love it! And I was curious since it is Leap Frog, how much it would cost new. Ready for this? The exact one we just got is listed for $43.99!!! YUP! We got ourselves a great deal!

Thanks Grandma for a great new toy!

We Have Ourselves a Walker!

Last night Gabe started to walk from thing to Papa, back to thing, back to Papa, or Mimi or myself. This morning he was doing more of the same. WOW! I think we have ourselves a walker!?

Special Friends & Dinner

Audrey, Gabe and Carson

Last week (3.21.10) we made some pizza's and headed out to visit the Quast family. Jake, Ben and Audrey did a great job of playing/entertaining our boys while Trever and I had great conversation with Jerry and Deborah. And we all enjoyed too much yummy food.

Thanks again Quast family! Love you guys!

CUBS Shirt

Carson (23 months)~10.28.08. Gabe (12 months) ~3.30.10
The Quast family (seen here and here) gave us this CUBS shirt a couple of years ago. Even though it is a 3T, I thought it would be nice to get a lot of use out of it with Gabe (I waited a little too long for Carson). It seems like if you wait until they are "in the size" they grow out of that size way too fast!

Aloha.

Gabe and James

Gabe thought that James was chasing him. He was having a great time!

Both videos are from 3.18.10.

THANK YOU AWANA team!

At the end of February, Trever and Carson brought home a piece of paper from AWANA with a 20 bill. Trever didn't really know what it was for, so I called Illis (the head leader) the next day to clarify. She said that they have drawings of the kiddlings names and Carson got picked for his age group. Usually (with the older kids) they get to chose a leader to go to lunch with, but for his age group, they give us money and let us have a date us our little guy. Pretty cool, if you ask me!

Carson with his 1st kids meal (& toy)

Trever wanted to hit Burger King for dinner, so we had our date "in." And we ate too much (of things we usually don't get)!

Thanks ILLIS and TEAM for all the hard work you put in working with the kids! Carson is having a great time!

Aloha.

1 YEAR AGO-already!?

A year ago today, we welcomed Gabe into our family. I am just so blown away that it was really a year ago that our lives changed (for the better of course!) so much! Time goes by just so fast, I really can't believe it.

This last week Gabe became "even." He has 4 top teeth and 4 bottom teeth. Mama is happy about this! :) He has started to take 4 or 5 steps in a row now. Won't be long now!? Goodness me. Gabe weighed in at 22 pounds and 15 ounces, and measured in at 30 1/4 inches long. He is a growing boy! For Carson's 1st year appointment he weighed in at 25.1 pounds and measured in at 31 1/2 inches long!

Here is Carson at his 1 year activities.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GABERS! Love having you here with us! Thank you Lord for such a wonderful blessing!!!

The Ped Egg

I was at my moms this week and happened upon an un-opened ped egg. I immediately called her to see if I could open it and use it. As a result of her "yes" here are my results. Kinda crazy how much skin dust there really is. I was surprised!

Aloha!

My CARS guy

If you can't tell by Carson's shirt and shoes, he has a love for the Disney CARS movie. At this second he was not watching the movie, but he does watch it as often as he can. I love my little CARS lover!

Aloha.

Two baby items that you MUST HAVE

Socks. My boys have had pretty chunky ankles as babies. I don't like to put the tiny baby socks on them that have the elastic at the top of the sock. So I have purchased the baby GAP roll down socks for both the boys. The elastic part is lower in the ankle to try to avoid the lines at the end of the day from being too tight. I have purchased mine on eBay, HERE, but you can get yours at the store if you want.

Blankies. When I used to work as a nanny for a local family the mom used cloth diapers for her kids blankies. I remember her telling me that if one gets dirty, you can wash it and get another one out since they all look the exact same. I got about 3 packs of them before Carson was born and used them for him (he still sleeps with a couple) and now use them for Gabe also. I also use them as burp rags.

So there ya have it. Two things that I love for my boys!
