3 Pals

James was here on Wednesday and I took a couple of shots of Gabe and him hanging out on the floor. Notice the hands in the bottom left picture. So cute! AND I managed to get them both looking and smiling. AND Carson too, in the bottom right one! WOW!

Aloha.

My big boy

I just love this little guy of mine. He is growing so much and so fast! He will be 3 December 1st. Which after telling him one time of when his birthday is he now speeds out, "Cember 1st!" He says it a little on the fast side. :)

Carson is Mama's big helper with laundry and helping me on days when James is here with us. And he loves to build things, and then tells us to "take a picture!"

See the car seat box in the bottom center picture? That is the free car seat we got!!!

Aloha.

UNWANTED guest

On Tuesday I went to the grower market and got a bunch of peppers and tomatoes. On Wednesday I got a couple out to make a salad and found something green crawling out of this pepper. UGH! I know organic is good for us, but I just don't enjoy the bug part of it!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we needed to run a couple of errands and I had noticed that the Pearson's farm on East Main in town had a pumpkin patch. So we drove down the steep hill and got us some pumpkins! It was a great little adventure. I love harvest time.

Next year since Carson will be older we might need to go to one that has all the activities, but for his age now, it was great! And we got our pumpkin task done! Now, if we can only find some time to do some carving...

There are more harvest pictures here.

What do YOU think?

So, for the last 2 years I have been growing out my bangs that I cut in 2007. They are now grown out, but I am finding that I always where the front of my hair up because it falls forward and is in my face too much. So, this morning I was thinking "should I get bangs again?"

Here are some pics to help you help me figure out what to do!?

NO BANGS

BANGS
NO BANGS

NO BANGS-how I wear my hair every day!!!

BANGS

So. Bangs or no bangs???

Thanks for you help! Aloha.

Remember to Pray

I know everyone has a different idea on what is right and wrong with the war...

But we need to remember what they are doing for us...

For you and I they are risking their lives - for complete strangers...

They are losing spouses, parents, sons and daughters...

Please keep them in your prayers.

Thank you and Aloha.

Car Seat for FREE

I am so happy to tell you that I just ordered a booster seat for Carson off of amazon.com that is FREE (free shipping also!) because I had gift cards saved up from using Swagbucks as my search engine.

This is the deal:
1. SIGN UP HERE
2. do SEARCHES (powered by Google and ask.com) and earn swagbucks (SB) (free dollars/points)
3. BUY for FREE @ amazon.com, iTunes, the list goes on and on.
4. Get your own referral and have your family and friends sign up to earn also!

This takes about 2 minutes to sign up. Then you can do your normal searches (checking your email, eBay, weather, news, facebook...whatever it is) and get random SB. It is the greatest thing! You have nothing to lose. I am so happy that I was introduced to this. Like you know we have ordered cod liver oil twice and now a needed car seat. How handy (and exciting) that it is for free!

Please, let me know if you have any questions. Oh, and BTW, you won't get spam (and you don't have to buy cod liver oil or a car seat, unless you need to of course). You can sign up to get a newsletter that comes out once or twice a month, that will have a code you can enter to a get a SB, but you don't have too.

So, go sign up! and start searching!

Aloha.

Snail Mail

Today I got a huge box that was holding a small (compared to the packaging) item...my large bar pan!!! I was so sad when my last one broke, but the wonderful Pampered Chef replaced it and mailed me a new one!

I definitely have my work cut out for me though.

This is our small bar pan (sitting on the large bar pan) that we have been using for the last 7 years in our toaster oven. I would say it is pretty "seasoned."

Anyone have any good seasoning tips for my new large bar pan?

Aloha.

Air Show-take 2

Carson was talking about the air show he went to "last night" again. Wanted you to see what happened there. To refresh your memory read this, Air Show, and then it might make more sense. :)

The Statue

This picture of the statue below was made by an Iraqi artist named Kalat, who for years was forced by Saddam Hussein to make the many hundreds of bronze busts of Saddam that dotted Baghdad. This artist was so grateful that the Americans liberated his country, he melted 3 of the fallen Saddam heads and made a memorial statue dedicated to the American soldiers and their fallen comrades. Kalat worked on this night and day for several months.

To the left of the kneeling soldier is a small Iraqi girl giving the soldier comfort as he mourns the loss of his comrade in arms. It is currently on display outside the palace that is now home to the 4th Infantry division. It will eventually be shipped and shown at the memorial museum in Fort Hood, Texas.

I checked this out here to make sure it is true.

DANCE PARTY!!!

We have a clock radio that has been named "dance party." That is what we do when I plug my iPod in or a good dancing song comes on the radio. Last night we all had a great dance party. I have a really good video of Carson but can't get to upload, so I am doing this one with Gabe and a little of Carson.

Maybe I can get some tips on how to upload 1 minute videos, someone???

So this video is from tonight (9.14.09), and not as great as last nights, but still cute. I think you will get the idea.

Aloha.

Personal Space

Today we have James here with us. I had Gabe and James laying on the floor next to each other and had a great time watching them. They were all over each other, and the toys. I took some pictures, go check them out here.

"Look Mom"

This morning Carson was playing with his Lego's and said, "look mom, I made a sail boat!" He did a great job making his boat. Little guys are so amazing to me! They are so smart!!!

Aloha.

I am curious

I know who I send invites to to view my blog, and I know who I have listed in my blog watch, but I am still curious as to who really does read my blog.

Can you just leave me a comment with your name? It can be under anonymous if you don't have an account (but please remember to sign your name).

Thanks! Aloha.

"Take a Picture"

Carson has gotten in the habit of telling Trever and I to "take a picture" (I have no idea where he got that habit!) when he thinks something he has done is cool. Or, just when I am taking lots of other pictures, he thinks we need to get one of him too, which I agree with.

Anywho, here are some pictures that he has asked us to take a picture of him and or his toys from the last couple of months. The center bottom 2 were taken today. Carson told Trever, "take one just of the Lego's (and then put it right in front of his face)."

Aloha.

Johnny Jump Up

On the 3rd Gabe went in the Johnny Jump Up for the first time. He loved it!!! He would lift both of his legs up at the same time and kinda swing around. He did lots of jumping, spinning and bouncing. He has had a great time in it.

SURPRISE

This last Monday was my moms birthday. So, our dear friend, Kristin, and I thought we should have a little surprise dinner for her. We kept it simple and had pizza, salad and yummy cake.

She was very surprised! We all had a great time and had really great food.

Happy birthday mom! Love you!

Pampered Chef

On Saturday night I made pizza for dinner. I used my pampered chef large bar pan stoneware like I normally do for any baking I do that requires a "cookie sheet." Sunday morning when we were getting ready for church, Trever noticed there was a large crack in it. I was so bummed! It was not even 2 years old, and now not usable.

Today I called The Pampered Chef to find out what the policy is. Great news! Stoneware has a 3 year warranty. They can look up all your orders you have ever made to find out when something was purchased. Because the bar pan had been purchased in the last 3 years, all I have to do is mail a piece of the stoneware in with a reference number and they will send me a new one!

YIPEE for The Pampered Chef!

Aloha.

Bible verse for AWANA

Carson had his first week of AWANA last week and loved it! We have been practicing the bible verse.

Carson says, "God made everything. Jesus made everything. Genesis 1:1" in the video. Might have to play it a couple of times, since he says it so fast.

Carson is CUTE!!!

This morning Carson told Trever, "Satan is naughty, and Jesus is good." Thank you Kerensa, who is his AWANA teacher, for the good lesson. ;)

Here we are right before leaving for the 1st night of AWANA.

And then right before Trever left for work Carson said, "Pick up your lunch and say bye to mom."

I think he is just too cute!

Aloha.
