Things I Love

I love that Carson is learning so much in school.
I love that Gabe is learning songs and letters while we sing to Finn to calm him down.
I love that it is sunny out {for a little while at least}!
I love that Carson can play in the sun outside while the smaller boys are sleeping.
I love that Gabe takes naps!
I love that Finn is still {most of the time} his cheery self even though he is getting two teethies!
I love that my niece and I are running together some mornings.
I love that Gabe, Finn and I can walk to get Carson from school.
I love that my mom, Carson, Gabe and I got a lot more ice skating in this year.
I love that even though Finn woke up about an hour earlier this morning, he took a fantastic {long} morning nap!
I love that I have a husband who gets the deals, whether it is for car parts, or toiletries.
I love that the Lord is so forgiving to me and my family.
I love that the boys go to AWANA every week and are around wonderful teachers, helpers and kids!
I love that Carson can sing us songs from VBS from a year or two ago!
I love that I can listen to rain while laying in my cozy bed.
I love that I can ask other moms for help and advice!
I love that I can start to ride my bike again with Finn in the trailer, Gabe on the trail-a-bike, and Carson on his bike.

These are just some of things that I am very thankful for right now.  What are you thankful for?

Some News!

Hello Friends!

Trades of Hope is a company that has been working with women around the world to get out of awful situations.  Instead of being in the slums, sweat shops, sex trade and extreme poverty they are given an opportunity to make jewelry, scarves, and home décor to support them and their families.  With marketing their products through Compassion Entrepreneurs (CE) via home and online parties, these women can put food on their table, a roof over their head, get medical care and an education for their children.

In November I went to a friends Trades of Hope party.  In December I hosted my own party, and have been talking about how much I love the products and the idea of purchasing items that are lovely and hand made by women who need help.  No matter your location, with purchasing these items you are helping women take care of themselves and their families in places like India, Haiti, Uganda, Bangladesh, Guatemala, The Philippines, Cambodia, Peru, Pakistan, Nepal and even the U.S.A.  It is a magnificent outreach, being able to use and wear these handmade specialties, while supplying 3 to 6 times more income to the families in these far off locations.

This week, I decided to join the team!   I am  looking forward to helping support these women who are able to bring HOPE to their situations and meeting new people along the way!  My Trades of Hope site is  www.mytradesofhope.com/simonecoster

Please let me know when you would like to host a party!

1st One!

Finn was shoving my finger in his mouth just now and I thought I might have felt something a little sharp...so I rounded up a flashlight and sure enough!  There is a little white toothies breaking through.  :(  This mama is sad to have her baby growing so fast!

My Loves

Carson's class had a little Valentine's Day party today and it happened that Finn woke up early from his nap.  I got him all ready and then Gabe, Finn and I headed off to his class.  The kids had a healthy snack of fruit, veggies, and popcorn and then a heart shaped sugar cookie that hey decorated.

Yesterday in class they made these little car pictures that were tapped onto a brown paper lunch bag to  collect all of their Valentine's in.  They got a lot of them!  Well, 28 or so.

My mom gave us some goodies from Trader Joe's.  Her new favorite store.  I like it a lot too!  I haven't been there yet though!

Gabe enjoying a little doll time.  He quickly moved on to a garbage truck that he could load Lego's into.

Finn is having a hard time napping today.  These pictures were taken in between trying to get him to sleep.  I don't know if it his teeth or his tummy that is causing the issue.  Hopefully it will pass soon!

Hope you are having a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Remember who loves us so much that He died on the cross for us!  "God so loved the world, that he gave His one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."  John 3:16.

Fruit-Eze

I was talking to a friend and Fruit-Eze came up in the conversation.  I had had it in the hospital after having Finn.

It was on sale this last week at our local store, but it is just a little spendy for me.  Then I had a thought!  I could try to make it up myself!?!  The ingredients are prunes, raisins, dates and prune juice.  So, I had to figure out how to put it all together.  When Carson was a baby I had to give him iron and ground up prune.  I boiled them and then would grind them up in the little baby food grinder.  So, this time I was thinking about boiling them or steaming them.  I decided to go with steaming.

After I steamed them until they were soft, I used the food processor to grind them all up!  I added some of the water from steaming the dried fruit to thin it all out a little.  Carson was my taste tester.  I think it was a success with our homemade fruit-eze!

No Tooth Smile

Finn has been working on teeth for a while now, I think.  However, these last couple of nights is a whole different program!

Finn's no tooth smile won't be here much longer.

Getting Finn to go to sleep has been about an hour and a half program!  Something that is not normal.  Last night went much better though.  With the help of comfort, teethie medicines and infant Tylenol we got it down a lot!

I love babies no tooth smile.  I remember with Gabe when I figured out he had gotten a tooth in, I cried. at my friends house.   :)  I wonder if that will happen with me this time?!

Finn is 5 months!

I can't believe Finn is already 5 months old!  The top two pictures were taken on the 4th.  He has been busy tying to nap, starting to rock on his hands and knees, and LOVES smiling at all of us.  He watches his big brothers like crazy!

I put him on the floor is one spot and come back a couple of minutes later and he is in a whole new spot.  Having him go to sleep for naps and bed and staying asleep is a bit difficult lately.  He likes to rock all around and move forward, left and right, and even roll over and have his head at the other side of where we put him down  for bed.  Him getting up on his knees and rocking with his little booty up in the air is a bit cute, but so hard at 1am, 3am, and in between when we have to put him back to bed.

He has tried squash a couple of times and seems to like it for a couple of bites.  We might move onto a different veggie soon.

Carson is doing good in school.  Busy learning words, numbers, counting and stuff.  His class went ice skating yesterday for a field trip and he had a great time.  My mom bought him skates this year for Christmas, so we have been trying to get to the rink as much as we can.

Gabe is trying to learn how to skate, but only wants to hold on to the walker and get pushed around the rink.  :)  He is busy learning the proper way of singing ABC's, and wanting to do everything big brother is doing.
